Baekmorae was the leader of the main Villain organization, KNIFE. His goal was to get Raptor, a Hero from SPOON, to love him back.
Appearance[]
He had white hair and dressed in an all-white suit, along with the bandage that covered his eyes, despite wearing a bandage his vision was not impaired. When the bandages were off he is revealed to have orange eyes. Unlike the rest of his clothes, his underwear was not white. He was sometimes seen with a bouquet of white flowers, hidden between the stems was a knife which bled blood into the petals. In the past he was sometimes mistaken as a woman, and did not correct who believed so.
His Chapter 100 appearance featured him as a woman, she looks generally the same but also wears a white skirt. When asked by Number 2. in Chapter 200, she stated that Raptor cannot judge her appearance if she is wearing bandages.
Personality[]
As a villain, he was accustomed to murder and could be serious when he wanted to be. However, he was mostly childish and joked around during inappropriate moments, which was often the reason for Medusa to beat him up. He was most vulnerable in front of Raptor, who was the object of his affections, therefore he wished to eliminate Haze and take his place.
Background[]
He had a surprisingly pleasant life growing up even though he lost his parents as a baby. Orphaned, Baekmorae was equally loved by the orphanage's residents, in addition to living in a well-developed town. The Teacher while working as a doctor noticed Baekmorae's purification powers as a child and decided to recruit him as an underling for the Immortality Research Project.
Baekmorae while working at the lab was ordered to watch the experiments done on Humans and Hybrids. Under immense emotional pain, he was then manipulated by The Teacher to be become one of the experiments. Later, the research facility was broken into and destroyed by a team of assassins, which Raptor was apart of. Then child Raptor stabbed Baekmorae's Teacher which caused Baekmorae to come out of his cage. He then kills The Teacher himself before attempting to take his own life, however Raptor stops him because she does not understand why he would do that; he explains that he does not feel like himself, because he feels happy that he killed the man he admires. Raptor, not fully understanding, tells him to live on because he will probably have days as happy as today. This incidence created an infatuation for Raptor.
After she and her team left, Baekmorae murdered everybody left in the research facility except for Medusa and Orca and asked for their help to achieve his goal: to win Raptor's love, which is where Baekmorae was implied to have lost his mind. Afterwards Baekmorae began visiting Raptor's camp, to speak, bring gifts, and to invite her to spend time with Medusa and Orca as seen in the Children's Day Special. The two grew close, with Baekmorae eventually learning Raptor's boss physically abuses her and the other assassins. Baekmorae ended up killing him, and coincidentally Raptor was going to kill him at the same time, the two buried the body and Baekmorae asked if she was scared of him and what he had done to her boss, which she denies, as to her, Baekmorae was far more important. This led Baekmorae to believe that Raptor would forgive him for any unforgivable crime. He attempted to comfort her when she grieved over her boss's death, however it did not feel like comfort to her. Once she recovers, Medusa tells him it is probably because she is young, Baekmorae takes this comment to heart.
In order to have her full attention, he had unnamed employees kill Raptor's friends by setting off a bomb in the camp. For unknown reasons Stell survived, possibly because he had wandered off. The bomb, however, does injure Raptor and paralyzes her bottom half. Sometime after the bomb went off, Baekmorae disposed of the bodies by burying them, and kills his own employee for what happened to Raptor. In the hospital with Raptor he tries to comfort her, saying that she has him, Haze appears and presents Stell, to Raptor's relief. Baekmorae becomes jealous of Haze the moment he makes Raptor laugh.
Haze grows suspicious of Baekmorae, and after Baekmorae displayed to Raptor one of her friend's fingers, Haze uncovered the bodies at the site, and tells Raptor the truth about Baekmorae. The two leave the hospital and goes to the burial place, with Raptor seeing all the bodies without a certain finger. Raptor flew into a rage and confronts Baekmorae in disbelief. He does not deny anything but says that he could not allow her to recognize her friends because he loves her. However, this only makes her despise him. He is last seen being taken away by the police, crying as he apologizes to Raptor.
It is unknown what happened directly afterwards, but it is assumed Baekmorae broke out of prison and reunited with Medusa and Orca. At some point in Orca's childhood, he and Medusa teamed up to give Orca a Christmas present, which causes Orca to become afraid of Santa Clause. Baekmorae was also taken in by a priory which held Lady and Sewol captive for the priory's own goals. After presumably killing the people working there, and he takes in Lady and Sewol.
When POT was active, he was inside of a building with Dune, Claude, and an Unnamed POT Member, after setting off an explosion which kills Claude, injuring Dune and the unnamed member, Baekmorae speaks to Dune and tells him the building will explode before leaving. At some point, he kills Jelina, Rosy, and Sangjae.
Story[]
He is shown as the main antagonist of the story, causing many problems, such as lighting a building on fire, or murder.
During Chapter 292, he is captured and being interrogated by the Winged Invincible People, where he is tied up, and hooked up to a machine and his entire body underneath his neck is immobile. The Winged People talk to him in a back and forth, where they explain their lives and motives. Baekmorae notices Number 1. readying himself to stab him, but instead he stabs a female member of the species shielding him. Baekmorae would be sent to the Research Island the Winged People host Human experiments on if he accepted their offer, Baekmorae states it sounds like being a pet. Another member of the Winged Family states that they will pick him up in forty hours if he accepts and they will cure his body below his neck. Baekmorae thinks about Raptor, and he accepts their deal.
He thinks to himself how they cannot kill him for his ability and along as he is alive he can cure people, these thoughts are interrupted by a ceiling tile moving and dropping a bomb into the room. Meanwhile a Winged Person formerly in the same room tells Number 2. that he can go inside.
A flashback occurs explaining that Baekmorae's body can still purify things even when he himself is dead, and the Winged Family asks SPOON if they could allow Number 2. see Baekmorae die.
Back to the present time, the Winged members comment on how Baekmorae lives by his desires, but he cannot have what he truly wants. At the same time Number 2. opens the door and the bomb explodes, killing Baekmorae in front of Number 2.. Afterwards people in protection gather up Baekmorae's remains while Number 2. cries while being told that for his actions, that Baekmorae could have been a good person and helped people if not for him.
Powers & Abilities[]
Purification[]
He can cleanse anything he touches, ranging from pollution to bloodstains, this can also affect spiritual phenomena as he did to cancel out the multiple curses Haze put on him. This also gives him immunities toward all diseases. However, since he is unable control his power, it is regarded as a part of his constitution. He has never suffered any ailments due to his purification ability. Because the ability is body based, he can still purify objects or people when he is deceased.

Having undergone numerous experiments, he now has superhuman strength, agility, and stamina.

Medusa[]
They were shown to fight often, usually with Medusa attacking first. Medusa had a decent relationship with the past, however, once she found out he was a pedophile via his attraction to Raptor, it seems that she was disgusted beyond belief, despite this there is no further evidence she holds this against him.
Orca[]
Orca thought Baekmorae was a monster acting like a human. They had a standard henchman relationship, with Baekmorae ordering Orca to do things for him.
Lady[]
Lady was the only person in KNIFE to respect him at all, in part for him teaching her about love and rescuing her and Sewol from their captivity.
SPOON[]
Dana[]
They were shown as mortal enemies, with Dana attacking him on sight.
Naga[]
In early episodes, Baekmorae repeatedly tried to get Naga to join KNIFE, with Naga always escaping or attacking him. After failing to do so, he left him be, but in the case Naga gets into his way, he would kill him.
Sasa[]
Like everybody else in SPOON, they hate each other. After the death of Rosy, Jelina, and Sangjae, he vowed revenge against Baekmorae.
Dune[]
They were shown to be enemies, similarly to Sasa, Dune holds Baekmorae responsible for killing his friend, Claude, and causing his PTSD. Baekmorae, on the other hand, taunted Dune on his judgement which led to the death of his other teammate.
Raptor[]
Because of how Raptor treated him at his lowest, he became infatuated with her, even going to say he will marry her when she is old enough. After what he did to her team of assassins and her legs, and all of the other things in the story, she hates him.
Haze[]
As Raptor's boyfriend, Baekmorae considered him his rival. He is worried by hurting him he will anger Raptor.
Stell[]
He seemed indifferent about him, but had warned Medusa to not hurt him as he is Raptor's brother. In the past he did not care if he died as he tried to kill him.
Trivia[]
- Baek in Korean means "white" or "one hundred". This name was probably given to him because his whole character is based on the shade, white.
- He wanted to be a teacher when he was younger but ended up being a scientist after The Teacher convinced him.
- The name "Morae Baek" is a translation error, in this universe, no one has last names but it seems the translator got confused since he is sometimes called simply "Morae" as a nickname. The author has compared it to Elizabeth going to simply "Beth".
- Originally his eyes were going to be pink instead of orange, however, this was changed as the reactions were "It looks gay". He also would not look as menacing with pink eyes.
- He was a vegetarian.
- He was shown to be fond of cats, having them in his bedroom and caring for one when it licked a piece of metal. The attraction is likely due to Raptor being a cat Hybrid. In the App Game, during loading, a "chibi" version of him could be seen petting a cat.
- He was bad at darts.
